1987 FORD F350 CUSTOM FLATBED 6.9 IDI V8
The F-350 is a pickup truck produced by Ford between 1986 and 1991. For 1987, it was essentially a truck built as a chassis cab, with an additional bed (specific for its future use) added after the truck was built. The F-350 came with dual fuel tanks with a switch mounted on a tank-to-tank switch, using only one fuel gauge. It came with a PTO, which was used to power attachments such as winches directly from the transmission. The F-350 models are at approximately 11,000 pounds (4,989 kg) GVWR and come with either a standard 6.9 IDI V8 or an optional 7.3 L (444 CID) V8.
For the first time, the F250 and F350 were available with a 6.9-liter diesel engine in 1983. It was the first diesel engine offered on Ford commercial vehicles. 6.9 liters replaced 400 cu in (6.6 liters) V8 petrol offered between 1977 and 1982. 6.9 was a fuel efficient alternative. The 6.9-liter engine naturally delivers 170 hp (127 kW) at 3,300 rpm. (427 Nm) @ 1400 rpm. Total weight of trailer weight is up to 3946 KG.
